Learn about the importance of pollinators in the ecosystem and how to garden to provide them with habitat. Find out what YOU can do to make your yard better for wildlife! Examples of native bee “huts” will be displayed, and free pollinator seed packets will be distributed.
Following presentations by NJ Audubon and NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife an optional 15-20 minute tour of the Wattles property will be conducted: see stewardship in action. Visit their vernal pool (a converted swimming pool) and a warm season grass field which serves as pollinator habitat and food source.
Space is limited; RSVP to Lindsay Gafford at
Sponsored by the Mansfield Environmental Commission as part of an ANJEC Open Space Grant and New Jersey Audubon Society.
